The problem is, that there are to many managers who decide to abandon the game and who have no interest to give new contracts to their most valuable players. So they are flooding the market at the end of the season. That's as if in the real world half the soccer teams would fall apart every season and an abundance of players would be available for those teams still carrying on.

I guess You should be doing some homework and find a better solution for after next season. It's either stopping every player without any contract from entering the market or drastically reduce their numbers, for Example by randomly choosing say 1% of them for auction and bury the rest in striker's hell.

If this player-tsunami happens every year than it comes down to who's got the most free time during those critical 3 days every 3 months. Those lucky guys will end up monopolizing the upper leagues and no one without that spare time will stand a chance against them no matter how sophisticated they build up talent from their schools.

I personally would prefer a solution where the schools of the teams would be the main source of new players and not the many transient teams from managers who try out the game and disappear after a few days and weeks leaving a random selection of their players without contract at the end of the season. Because that is exactly how it is now.
