I have searched all through the help (at least I believe I have) and have found nothing what all the acronyms and numbers stand for. For example: the acronyms in the "Line-Up" page. I'm not a big football buff but I like the game enough to play this, so my knowledge of tactics and terms used for the game are limited at best. Thank you. | 15/02/2011 23:15 |

That's great to see you playing despite a lack of technical knowledge. don't worry, it's not overwhelming @ all so you should be good. However, I would like to give you some information and try to see if I can resolve your question. Firstly: Anything w/a DF is a Defensive player. LDF, RDF, CDF, MDF Second: A player w/a M is a Midfield(er) player: LM, LIM, IM, RIM, RM, OM Third: Players w/a F is a Forward or attacking (goalscoring): LF, CF, RF Fourth: you've probably noticed players who have a B or W in their positions. These are B = backs, and W = wingers. LB, RB, LW, RW When L/R are used, they indicate the side of the pitch in which the player performs well. For example LB, LM, LF players respectively play in Left Back, Left Middle, and Left Forward roles. Finally, in the Middle, you have further special roles indicated by I = Inside or O = offensive. Those are basically all the roles. You should: go into LINE UP > click the drop down positions menu above the mini field > go to Configure > and under configurations choose one to play around with the arrangement of players and get a sense for where each belongs. Best! Hope this Helps! |
