is the team avarage the only determinant of whether team will win or lose? i mean ca a team still win even when its average is lower than its opponents? | 12/04/2011 21:52 |

Of course you can win with a lower average. Surprises happen so many times in striker | 13/04/2011 00:56 |

I don't know if many others would agree with me, but I think something more substantive can be said about the simulation and determining winning/losing: the average of your striker and your goalkeeper are probably the most important. I've found that if my striker is below the opposing goalkeeper, it really doesn't matter how badly I win time of possession or how many shots I get; I will not be scoring a lot of goals. All the other positions just set these 2 positions up. Your star MDF or IM are great, but if they feed it to a shitty GK or have a shitty GK minding the net, it really won't make as big an impact as a higher average striker/gk. | 13/04/2011 10:46 |

Lets say if a team has a star CF with an AV of 70 and a GK with an AV of 50, but jet still the team AV would be 30, my team with AV 48 would still have a small chance of winning with two strikers with 44 AV and a GK with AV 46? Is that what you are trying to say? |

I'm sure if we take it to extremes and make the other positions so crappy, it would even out. But, yes, I'm saying that I think those 2 positions make the largest difference. Take a look at a game where you were higher average, but didn't end up with the final score you wanted. I would bet it's because of GK vs Striker differences. One game example that I had awhile ago was this: http://uk.strikermanager.com/partido.php?id=405301 I won 59% possession, I had crappy 7/27 shots, they had 7/14. It came down to my Striker being 35 vs his 47 GK, and my 45 GK vs his 49 LW. I lose, even though the other positions outperformed his. |

I have also game like that, but, I am on the winning side At that time, I dunno why I win against more powerful team. After reading your writing, I came back to see again that game, here it is the game: http://uk.strikermanager.com/partido.php?id=238369&accion=datos I win on striker position and goalkeeper against that team. But on average, that team is better than mine. Their team even have very good defender (all above 50 at that game), yet I still manage to win, thanks to their not-so-good keeper. |

Can't agree any more, the first game I lost in new season is my CF45 vs my rival GK 53, my CF got many chances to shot, but nothing was gain, at last, I lost with 0:2. http://uk.strikermanager.com/partido.php?id=220849 BTW, I still think 70+ is very import, I just lost a game of CUP at last round, who has a 70+LIM, I just use my SUB, at that time, I have to face a lot of strong rival and the system can not recover stamina. and then 1:2 was coming, you know, this guy just stay at this game for only one minute, but he won me, that's ridiculous, but still happened here. The good news is my player finally have chance to rest... http://uk.strikermanager.com/partido.php?id=526143 |
