I was just wondering, does promoting a player from a school too early effect its potential?
I wasn't sure whether or not i was suppose to promote him right away or not and just did it.

If your him extractions of the school do not only pass anything that when it changes of season it increased its age.
The player raise to the youthful equipment with the corresponding age and you train like another youthful one.

It definitely affects his potential negatively also over the long term if I am not mistaken. I personally would suggest never to promote a player prematurely. On the other hand, if you need him in your senior squad for a game, promote him temporarily. 23/04/2011 11:43

If a player in one of your schools is good enough and has high progression then promote him, otherwise discard him. He wont improve in the school but will still age, so no point keeping him there. Hope that helps. 23/04/2011 13:35

Never discard a player from school , i just found out by looking at Forecast , the juvenile that i receive from school has a very high average in the future . They're much better then the one that i bought for free .

What if their average is 9, and you really haven't got room for him? Surely no point keeping him. 23/04/2011 16:06

so i understand promoting a junior to the senior team too early can negatively effect his potential progress, but does the same go for promoting a player from a school to the junior team?
i still dont quite understand it.

No, the same does not go for promoting a player from a school to the junior team. On the contrary, it is a good idea to promote them to the junior squad as soon as possible so that they may begin training with the junior team (or so you can sell them). 27/04/2011 14:21
