Should there be some second step to the Hostile Clause process to protect honest managers?

My goalkeeper was just bought on release clause by a cheater for 8million and I have no way to renegotiate his contract before losing him. If the goal is to make sure managers pay players fairly, there is a fundamental flaw in the game mechanism. It holds managers hostage to whatever other manager wants to cheat. I've managed my team immaculately over the past months and now some cheater is putting my season in danger. Please add a renegotiate step to the hostile clause. It is currently unrealistic and lets cheaters harass hard-working managers. I'm drafting a cheat report for the team that just stole my goalkeeper. I hope the staff can restore him to my team before I lose too many matches. As requested previously by the staff, I'm not posting details about the cheater here. Please answer the poll question, everyone. If you're an active, honest manager in the forums, you're making yourself a target for the dishonest. (I apologize for overuse of the word 'cheat' in the above. It's tedious, I know) Edited by MJSupremo 14-05-2011 11:38 |

anyone can buy your players by paying the hostile clause and its a good thing... if u are active just increase ur players salary... and try to search for managers that are less active and buy from them another goal keeper.. |

I agree that it's a good idea and will stand up for the process in principle. But the effect is too permanent and damaging to let cheating managers use it without being checked. Edited by MJSupremo 14-05-2011 11:53 |

Like Godson, I'm also unclear on how the other manager has cheated? I don't see anything wrong with "just bought on release clause". For myself, all of my players are for sale - if you're willing to pay their release clause, of course. |

Agreed, Try to protect your player with a higher release clause. You know, if you pay a lower salary to a high quality player, why don't they choose a good offer? In real life, it's the same also, I think. If an extra step is added, how can the manager agree? Moreover, if the manager does not login in any more, how will this deal go? |

i will not interrupt yall conversation but i have something to share : - This manager just asked me if he could buy 1 of my CF by paying release clause , well i was fair-play and let he did it because if he didn't send me that message he would just did it anyway , but i have much respect him for sent me that message - I really don't like to pay for release clause because it's too expensive and it's risky if that player have low progression and low peak |

It's quite simple. The selling manager has x hours/days to renegotiate with the player, after which, due to inactivity, the player is released. Inaction leads to the exact same result as now. In a related note, the cheating report has been declared invalid. I might be bad at this game - can you help me find out how to get 7 50+ average, young, high progression players for less than $2million like my anonymous friend did? I'm thinking that in between seasons you can pick up some good players for nothing. Is that true? |
