jacobpark said: Medved said: That was definitively the right thing to do. Quick question though... Am I the only one feeling that some players still got the -20% instead of the -10%? (http://uk.strikermanager.com/jugador.php?id_jugador=1197303) That might be the players that you promoted at the beginning of this season (you signed them for free because you already own them) Thanks for the answer, but he's 28 I got him for free (51 avg), he went down to 39 (-8.smthg), and didn't went up like the others... well anyway, it's just this one, so i'm not really gonna complain! |

I still have a youth playerI signed at -20% stats. I temp promoted him to first team right before the reduction, and he went back to youth today and did not get a bump up in stats. He was at 41 when signed on a free. http://uk.strikermanager.com/inicio.php?accion=/jugador.php%3Fid_jugador%3D849438 Should he even have had stats reduced at all? |

His stamina is really low, increase that first then I think he will be normal |

I was waiting for the decision to give my opinion, now here it is. I understand you all consider this is a good decision provably because you bougth good players for 0$. In this moment the business is not as good as it could have been but, anyway, you actually got reasonably good players for 0$ and even if you are not already interested in keeping them you'll get more money than invested. The unfearness has now turned to those managers who didn't "cheat" or those who paid the amount estimated by the admis (not being able to buy such good players). This last one is my case, and I conciously behave like this just because I believed it was the right way. I really understand most of you and agree with some points of view, but this 38-page cry was carried out by the ones who (concious or unconciously) cheated and finally did a good business. I think we all must learn something from all this. For the admis: YOU MUST IMPROVE COMUNICATION, maybe being more present at the forum. This kind of unsolvable problems may be prevented this way. Good luck everyone. |

Sorry man, I didn't cheat, it wasn't cheating, and it wasn't against the rules. It certainly shouldn't have happened in the first place, and blame for that is pretty clear. I already gave a very explicit defense of that, and I have no guilt over taking the players. http://uk.strikermanager.com/foros/hilo.php?id=256407 Admin also noted that it wasn't cheating, with @rand's apology, so it has been well established that nothing wrong was done. It wasn't cheating consciously or unconsciously. There is no rationalization involved. I did the right thing for me, and it was well within the rules established at the time. If you feel the opposite, that is your opinion, but don't rationalize it by saying I unconsciously cheated. Then cried about it. But I didn't. I criticized the opinion, giving valid reasons for my position, then offered a resolution. Admin had to do something to level the game, however. If you took a player after @ranru and @rand discussed it, then it's cheating. Now admin is letting those cases slide...which is condoning cheating after declaring it illegal. Also, the 10% solution is fairly equitable and gives very small numerical advantage to those that took advantage of it. Because it is actually a 12% deduction. To reach absolute level pegging overall, a 5-6% restore probably may have been closer to the mark, but doing that would have put people who did nothing and improved 3 points overall under water. After it was all said and done, I gained about 2 points to my starting line, or 4% And I am an extreme case, I scored the best player out there, and I was on a lot during the weekend looking. A shrewd manager can overcome 4% in less than a couple weeks at the lower levels. I improved my team from ~40 to 52 including more than 5 high progression players between April 27 and June 5. And I made some pretty stupid errors costing millions. Here's the math on the relative improvements. It also makes a reasonable guess at the reasoning behind the deduction. http://uk.strikermanager.com/foros/hilo.php?id=256579 Improvement from 50 -> 52 is significant, but not insurmountable by any stretch. I'm sorry if you felt like it was cheating or wrong, but it was not. Everyone agrees that admin needs to communicate some....not more... Right now it is close to 0 communication. |

Of course what I've written before is my opinion (and I had previously read your position time ago). No offence meant, but I'm just trying to let you all know that in fact you finally influenced the admis decision for self profit. I didn't do so, even when I had the opportunity (I waited till the end of the matter to write something). I paid for my players, but it was my decision and I keep it, don't blame anyone. What is fact is: a certain number of managers (not a majority) got some profit (lets avoid cheat) and their opinion is made of their own interest. Don't take it in the bad way, I like you and some others (in fact you are in my list of friends), lets try to enphasize and even learn something from the experience. |
