Hi fellow players! I'm still quite new at this game, though I've gotten a handle on a lot of things. An issue I've been having recently is trying to figure out what a good training regimen would be for my junior and senior sides? Currently I do a cycle of:

1) Parries
2) Organize Defense
3) Running
4) Organize Midfield
5) Distance Shots

And I repeat the cycle over and over. Am I training efficiently in your opinions? How can I get better results? Furthermore, how good is automated training?

Your answers and help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: this is for your YOUTH team, not seniors.

From what I know the most efficient way to train is to pick 3 (for example, IM/MDF-GK's-RM/LM/CF's) training methods and cycle them two at a time.

Mine is
-Parries/Parries/Saves-Organize Midfielders/Organize Midfielders- Ball Control/Ball Control

I chose those because I am focusing on training GK's-RIM/IM/LIM/MDF-LM/RM/CF.

In your case I would suggest focusing on:

Distance shots X2 (LF)
Organize Defense X2 (LDF etc.)
Running x2 (LB and RW's)
Beating Markers (RW) or Close-Range Shots (LF) depending on what you want to focus on.

And sell every1 else. with those 6 you will still have a slot for 1 more training which you can allocate to one of those i recommended. I would recommend Close-Range shots cuz LF are worth more than RW.

When you sell the others try buying some more of each youth to train. Look at this chart for reference on the % you will train.

And always make sure you are playing the right guys that are being trained and make sure if your spots on the lineup is full to keep them in the subs. Remember you can play 2 players in each position at a time. Thats al I got so far for ya.

Don't do any of those three, your defense are all old and will get worse rather than better. So are your wingers.

Stick to the shooting ones and maybe organise midfielders, but be aware that you will damage your best IM doing that. Although you do have 3 other youngsters who will get better. Maybe man marking for your RB.

You do need to replace your oldies though

Thank you both for your advice! They really need to fix the issue of older players getting hurt by training though!

EDIT: About the older players, yeah I know I need to replace them, it's just that young talent is so expensive, I don't want to sell off the entire team to bring in a couple of guys. I only have around 7 or 8 mil right now, can't afford to pay 2-3 mil for good young players .

Oh thanks, was wondering about that. So essentially the gist is to only really train positions where I have young talent that will benefit from it, correct? If I may ask, at what age should I start to avoid training players? 13/08/2011 10:27

It varies, about 26-27 seems average, however I've had 22 yr olds start going down. Basically as soon as they have the little red arrow, then they are starting to go down. If you've got the Golden balls to do it, then forecast all your young talent and you'll see at what point they start to go down.
