The positions Are a bit wired. Inner left midfileder? Central midfielder they dont need a left/ right etc. If they need to be on a certain side they should probably not being playing football. Same with central defenders. Also a defensive defender should have all his stats and average playing ability in the 4-4-2 configuration. All the these formations have a certain amount of fluidity about them. They definitley aren't as rigid as they are being portray. Also why do the USA have to put your own positional names on stuff. Call them what the whole of europe calls them. At least what we call them in the UK. We don't change the names to Grid iron postitions - Pretty annoying |

yes the rigidity for player positions is just unrealistic, losing motivation and morale from moving players to IM instead of RIM is just stupid, a benched player gains more motivation and morale than a player on the field? even if the player is slightly out of position, they shouldn't lose more than 20% motivation compared to being in their preferred position. I know it doesn't really matter in this simulation version since all that matters is having a good striker and an average of the team higher than your opponents to win, where tactics make almost no difference. But I sure hope they change this with the new simulation coming out. |

All the football fans here watch the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, and a little bit of La Liga and Ligue 1. Edited by hewhoamareismyself 18-08-2011 20:49 |

I agree, some of the players position don't exist in the real world. | 18/08/2011 20:38 |

This discussion has taken place before. The positions exist depending on the system used. But this is a computer game. You have to call them something so the simulator can apply a rules set. Wait 6 weeks, there will be complaining there is too much information and too many options. That is, if they put in the new simulator. |
