yah, it looks pretty silly to me. Players in this game in general are so overpriced because there is no salary cap. And when you find a good one for cheap, everyone thinks you are cheating... it's ridiculous. I guess it's about as ridiculous as real world professional sports contracts though. I don't think anyone will accuse you of cheating if you find a star player to sign for cheap. |

I gotta agree, almost no player goes for over $20M at auction. I wouldn't spend 20M on any player unless I knew their forecast was over 80 AND they were well trained. (This guy is not FC > 80, no way) I would only be inclined to spend this much on a single player aged 22 if they were a CF. I'm a cheap bastard, but this is a good some of money. Could it be more? Sure. Is it in the deserving of being sanctioned a ton of money? absolutely no way. I mean the reason the Multi-offer doesn't work for over 60 is because there is no good way to evaluate their value. Valuing a 22 year old is next to impossible. I report my fair share of sketchy transactions, but this one should pass muster....otherwise it really is become quite arbitrary and ignorant. Seriously a 22 year old non CF/GK? The sample size can hardly merit that this is out of market by any standard deviation of anything... This would be an arbitrary punishment. I bet he couldn't sell that player for 20M on auction. There's a 66/23 on auction now for 18M, coming up tomorrow night. CDF run at a premium compared to LDF/RDF (they do). So 5 pts + 1 yr difference on this transaction. I'd be curious to see who bids on that player! PREPARE FOR LOCKED THREAD IN 3...2...1... |
