MVP of the game

But what can you get at auction. ONLY AUCTION VALUE = Market value. What two people agree to in private is not a market value. Please show me the auction values for players of this caliber.

That's the problem. There are not auctions of players like that one yet. So, in order to find out the price, you are only able to compare with less skilled players to decide a price. That's why I am always telling that you should ask us about prices...

sorry i have to talk you are the manager here you should decide the price

The game would be crazy if market was like that, you can't sell at the price you want, you must follow the market price.

But that is the market price, market price is what the market will bear. You wouldn't get crazy prices, only prices based on the amount of money in the game. By artificially(with the threat of sanctions) holding prices higher than they need to be you create hyper inflation, pricing out newbies from ever reaching the top. That kills off new players. In 3-4 seasons time you'll have players joining in div 6 who know they'll never reach the top of the game, because they are too far behind the starting curve.

In the end you'll kill your own playerbase off. You won't make money with Div 1 and 2 full and 14000 system bots.

DUDE! I just did that! In this thread! I even showed how this player may be truly valued at 20-25M.

Seriously. I'm the only one spitting out numbers here. I went back and looked at some auction numbers. There are only a handful of players capable of coughing up > 25M

Outside of a very exceptional player, like a CF or GK, over 20-25M is the exception. Even for players at 70 avg.

This player, judging by history (slowing of training rate) is at the top of the curve. He will be 23 in 3 weeks.

So now i'm being told this:

"Well, I don't know what a real value for this player is, so I have to compare on a case by case basis...and only @ players, have the ability to define this price...because we're the only experienced ones...and oh by the way, we are our own arbitrators...."

So If i'm hearing this correctly....

There is NO MARKET for these players.
FAIR PRICING is at the sole discretion of @
ALL transactions of players > 65 not pre-approved by @ may be subject to sanction.

So there's 4 basic types of transactions
1- auction (SAFE AT ANY PRICE)
2- Direct Purchase (SAFE AT ANY PRICE?)
3- Hostile (ALWAYS SAFE)
4- Transfer (PLEASE ASK @ PRIOR TO SALE)

----- nothing above changed, edit is only add below here ---

grantis has it exactly right. Which has to contribute to the BILLION DOLLAR PLAYERS on the spanish game. There has to be some downward pressure on this market.

Hostile clause at least creates some artificial floor. I mean, maybe you could post a spreadsheet showing current hostile clause calculations for currently generated players....Then say THIS IS THE FLOOR anything 10-20% under this is TOO LOW.

Then we know.

Both above posts are excellent. I'm notat the "I have 20 million free" level yet but Id like to get there.

The basic premise and request is to create some sort of standard. Markets and the GMs dislike uncertainty which this event caused.

I'm not at the 20m free point either, but also don't want to be priced out of the game yet. Artificially increasing prices may make me think twice.

I'd love to know that if I did reach Div 1, there could be some upstart who, a few seasons later could come along and challenge me.

At the end of the day it always comes down to WHO has the fattest wallet.
Who knows at what insane amount managers in DIV 1 will sell their players for, once they reach there. By that time inflation would have ripped everyone apart and only those who really can afford to buy GB and Pack Managers will be playing the game.

Above posts says it all - because of the attitude "if we say it's 40-60mill worth, then it is, pay that or be banned" SM will never grow big. give it a season or two and new players that will join the game will be lighting years behind top players, standing no chance at all to ever catch up. In fact even players that join today stand next to no chances at all to catch up on top teams... With your pricing it will take them months to be able to afford some decent avg 60+ players. Heck, you said there are players in billions selling in spanish version? I can't see more than a few people being able to afford 100mill+ players here any time soon.. Which means you (@Shengli) are never going to be able to sell all the GK's you are training, they are, according to you worth 150mill+ each and that's something that only a few can pay and most of them have a GK of similar skill already anyway.

There are some rediculous trades at times, but honestly everything that is slightly below normal price IS NOT bannable or wrong >_> There's been many games that died out eventually simply because admins were too stubborn to listen to playerbase...

Exactly, with proper markets, his goalkeepers would be worth a lot less because only a few could afford them. Hence the removal of having 10 Gk's in your team and turning your team into a GK or CF factory, which is totally unrealistic.

Sometimes you have to ask why?
