I've put up a few of my players in the auction house. One player in particular, I set his starting bid to zero. His release was around 3.5mil USD. Too late to cancel auction and afraid of losing this much money, I bid twice on the player. My first bid was close to 150k USD; my last was around 1.5mil USD. The last bid put me at zero bucks in my bank. I forfeited my efforts of saving money and just waited to see what would happen next. Hours later, I logged on to find 24 messages from the Coaching Secretary. All of the messages were in reference to the player mentioned above. But the funny thing was this: somehow I was in a bidding war with another team with which I had no involvement. Is there a fail safe with regards to auctions? If a players release clause is not met during the auction, does the manager of the player automatically make a bid to meet the release clause? Has this sort of issue happened to anyone else? Does my issue make sense to any of you? Also, the player sold at 2.3 million USD. On my finance page, there are 7 entries of 2.3 million USD all within the span of one minute. So, I have 14 mil in freed assets but only 6 mil in the bank. I love money, but I believe a mistake has occurred. All responses are appreciated. |

I think it's perfectly legal(if not ethical) to bid on your own player. I was reading the spanish version forums yesterday. It seems to happen all the time. | 02/09/2011 17:13 |

Ha, Just goes to show you how terrible I am with budget sheets. Yes, my freed assets took a majorly strange leap, but it was balanced off by the fixed assets. Still, I cannot find where the 2mil, which now sits in my bank, came from. |
