 I have noticed that when using a scout, the players found are not free. Rather, you have to pay their hostile clause? Is this just until the season starts on Friday or is this how it will be throughout the entire season? 20/09/2011 17:04

The scout is just like the Coach Secretary but with Juniors. Yes you have to always pay the hostile clause 		20/09/2011 17:11

 Goaldfndr you don't understand.

Vinny D - sometimes the player was signed as or before your scout found him. I signed a 30/14? Or 15 OM yesterday. Try viewing the scout right around the estimated finish time.

I do know that during the free agent frenzy free jrs were not available, at least not the ones I found. They were already on sale.

Try now though.

Let me clarify. During last season you could use your scout to search for players without teams and you could sign those players without paying any hostile clause amount.

During this period before the season starts, I know that the scout will find players that are currently being auctioned... However my scout is finding players that have no team, but aren't on auction, and I still have to pay the release clause in order to obtain them.

My question is the following: is this a temporary thing until the season starts, or from now on, will we always have to pay a price for players that don't have a team? 		20/09/2011 17:31

 I'm pretty sure I mentioned I found a 30/14 OM...and also said try it now as the free jrs are available. Again during the free agent frenzy the free jrs weren't free or available. They are now. At least as of yesterday.

Who knows if it will last all season but there is no indication that the free jrs will be unavailable... 		20/09/2011 17:41

 The admins stated that during this period nobody can get free players. I'm just wondering if this is changed for good.... Or if free players are available after this seasonal period? 20/09/2011 17:43

 There seems to be a lot of guesswork and confusion regarding this, maybe I can help clarify:

1. Players (senior and junior) in the final year of contract at the end of last season and not re-signed went straight onto auction over last weekend.
They have now either been bought or deleted from the system.

2. Players showing up now on search with "No team" selected are players returning from loan to teams no longer existing.

3. Players that you find on search that are "free" players are juniors that have been fired or discarded from schools.
(You will start finding them again soon if not already, as previously stated. you need to be quick to grab these.)
