Doing temp promotion well is tricky. There is an FAQ entry describing how it works, but nowhere telling you when is best to temp promote. Basically, you should temp promote between league game time and the evening training time on Tuesday. You should schedule 3 trainings that will advance the junior to run on MONDAY, Tuesday and Wednesday at the senior level, and 3 trainings that will advance the junior on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the junior level. This way, the junior trains at 210% motivation for 3 days and 155% motivation for at least 2 days and possibly 3 if you have a friendly or a striker cup game between temp promotion and training. You MUST play the junior in the starting line-up on any game on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to get the full training benefit. To get the 210% motivation, you must play the junior in the starting lineup on Friday. Last season, it was possible to pop a player up 10 points or more in 2 temp promotes using this technique. Depending on this season's training style, it will still be possible with some positions to do this. Don't forget that you can only temp promote the same player twice per season, so use it wisely! |

The problem with that is the league game on Friday, thus reducing the motivation. That's why you advance the junior to play on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at the seniors, and good training on the weekends for the juniors, thus maximizing the effect. |

I used to promote on Wednesday, but this results in 3 days at 155% and 2 days at 210%. If you temp promote on Tuesday *after* the start time of the league game that will happen on Friday, you get 3 days at 210%. Example: last season, my league games were at 10:32 AM local time, and training happened at between 5:30PM and 6:30PM local time. I promote on Tuesday at 3 PM local time, and the junior's motivation is as follows: Tuesday: 105% Wednesday: 155% (junior in starting lineup) Thursday: 155% Friday: 210% (junior plays in starting lineup, and then returns to junior squad, motivation jumps from 155% to 210% at 3 PM) Saturday: 210% Sunday: 210% resulting in a total increase of 400% over normal training amount at 105% If you promote on Wednesday, you instead get: Wednesday: 155% Thursday: 155% Friday: 155% Saturday: 210% Sunday: 210% resulting in a total increase of 350% over normal training amount at 105% If you have a cup game or a friendly on Tuesday between your normal league time and the training time, you can temp promote before this game, and get an additional 50% for a net 450% over normal training amount, which means if your junior would have advanced 5 points in those 6 days, he will instead advance 8.3 points, nearly double the amount he would have advanced. The only thing to consider is that on the junior level, one can only do 2 of the same training in a week, so you'll have to train something like 2 ball control+1 shots on goal for a temp promoted CF, or 2 Saves+1 Penalty Saves for GK, or 2 ball controll+1 running for LW, etc. Edited by CelloG 22-09-2011 02:40 |
