Hello, I am having trouble with the advance tactics function of the game. It is not working as I perceived that it would, maybe my perception is incorrect, but I'm inquiring. I was under the impression that with the advance tactics I would be able to change formation and substitute players, to suit the particular formation, according to what ever parameters I set, in terms of time and situation. So I attempted to use this function according to this understanding. Only to notice that yes the formation changed according to the time and situation I had set and yes the players listed for substitution were substituted, but they were not placed in the positions that I had intended. For example: I changed from a 4-3-3 formation to a 5-3-2 formation and request that the two wingers from the 4-3-3 be subed for a left forward and a right defender, while my internal mid-fielder be subed for a defensive mid-fielder. To my dismay, my new defender ended up playing a forward position and I'm not even sure what other positions were shuffled around as a result. Needless to say I lost one game in particular 6-1 as a result of this, and I am obviously not pleased. I suggest that this be rectified in some way. I can only imagine the amount of work being done that we the users are unaware of and I commend you all for the work done so far. I encourage you all to press on as the improvements are adding to the quality of the game. I would like to suggest that there be some way ensuring that when using the advance tactics function of knowing exactly where each player will be position when the change takes effect. I am not sure of the best way to do such but a few ideas do come to mind: 1. There be some display to show the shuffling of positions as a result of the change of formation (or maybe this can be defined by the user) where the user will see where exactly each player will be positioned as a result of the change of formation. 2. Maybe this can be done with a similar display to that found in "Line Up". I will be looking for some form of response if possible. Thank you Jfreak |

I don't think it's the "advanced tactics" that has a problem. I tried the formation 5-3-2 and pressed "automatic" and i found that one of my midfield player was striker and that costed me a goal. He passed the goal keeper and was just in front of the goal line with the ball when.........he passed the ball backward to the opponent's keeper. Hasn't happened to me since i stopped using the formation 5-3-2 Edited by patient 23-09-2011 04:35 |
