MVP of the game

I've decided to quit this game at the end of the season. So before I get the whole threads about 'why'... etc..etc.. Here's what happened. It all started about 6 - 8 weeks ago. I see a 50/21 GK for 3.4 Million. Bargain. So naturally I go and hostile. Except the dude only has 7,000 Experience points. Fair enough, I thought to myself. So then I put him on shortlist, and checked when the dude last logged in. It was a couple of days ago. So everyday. And I mean EVERY DAY, I check this guy's experience points. It slowly rises over the course of 1 - 2 weeks to 7,600 exp. Then it just sits there. Everyday I check, and almost everyday this guys wins, and this guy logs in. Why on earth isn't his experience moving? Until yesterday. He had a cup game at 16:33. So I thought, perfect, Maybe TODAY his exp will finally move, and he will get to 8,000! So I check his exp, and guess what... BEFORE the cup game, it had already gotten to 8,738! So i QUICKLY go to his squad. The GK? ALREADY HOSTILED AT 16:04. - BEFORE THE CUP GAME. Now this wounded me. But I carried on. And then I see a 44/20 CF for 3.2 Million. Again, Bargain. This dude had just arrived on a new team. Except the manager already had 8K exp points. WOW! I thought to myself, and it's been exactly 24 hours since he arrived! I quickly go to hostile, and he's unavailable! Apparently, I can't sign him because he's just arrived to his team! So I frantically ask people what's going on? How long do I have to wait?!?!?! And I hear 24 hours! 48 hours! 10 days! I also happened to hear: 24 hours and 'x' amount of time... WTF is 'x'? So it's just a random amount of time? REALLY?!?!?! So every 5 minutes I am online, I'm trying to hostile. And after the disappointment of that GK with the funky EXP syndrome, I said to myself (and everyone else) that if I don't get this CF, I'm quitting. It really is as simple as that. If he is hostiled after 48 hours by somebody else - So be it. If he is hostiled after 10 days be somebody else - So be it. But if he gets hostiled on some random time mark, say, 33 HOURS AND 39 MINUTES LATER Then I am quitting. How is it fair that I checked after 30 hours, 31 hours, and 32 hours, Yet couldn't sign the player. And then out of the blue, he becomes available after that time. Nowhere in the rules has this been written down, or explained. And quite frankly, many have accused me of making a stupid decision and saying that quitting isn't the right answer - But when you watch a player for 6 weeks, EVERY DAY, only for a random exp bump that happened BEFORE a Cup game, and then for a random timing for when a player becomes hostilable... Well let's just say it kinda pissed me off. I got the whole of my real life to be pissed off, and be sh*tted on by The Government, The Bankers, The taxman, Damn Traffic Wardens, The Weather, and maybe even the future Mother-in-Law. But I don't need to be stressed out over a damn computer game. I play this game to NOT be stressed. So I have decided to myself, at the end of this season, I shall officially quit the game. I would like to thank you all, it has been a pleasure playing with you  I would especially like to thank everyone in my PL - I know for certain you will all take it to the next step and further! There is a huge list of people I wanna say thanks to for making this a very nejoyable game to play. I only got addicted to it because of the human element of interacting with many of you. (Even though some of you are straight up d**kheads) If the people are what makes games, this game would be the best bar none. But unfortunately it's more than that, and I've just ran out of patience. I know this may not be the most logical decision, but it's MY decision. |

Good bye. Sorry to see you leave. You're not the only one who's watching other players and waiting for good bargain. I've been burned too, but just move on. You wanna know the trick to it...? Dee: I understand your frustration, and i know you're a passionate guy, but i'm not totally convinced this little SNAFU is worth quitting over. If i were in your shoes, i'd invent some sort of fiction around this, maybe write up an article about it, and move on. I know the hostile market is a large part of your business model, but you can't win them all. As i've always told the newbies, it's a huge gamble, not to be taken lightly. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose and in the two cases cited, you didn't win. But, on the net whole, i'd say you're still way ahead of the house in this game, and all that you've lost is the time you spent checking up on the player and manager. Hopefully your well articulated story will make it back to the right eyes and help make this game better in the long run. I'd really rather see you stick around and make a push for Div1, but i'll support whatever decision you finally go with at the end of the season. |

Everyone frustrated after i hostile that GK , i think they should all quit ^_^ It's all good for you Dee, you will have more time for your girlfriend and what you like to do But we will never forget you , just letting you know that ^_^ |
