I vote yes. It's very easy to say "you should have paid him more" but whatever a Div 4/5 team pays their players (without going bankrupt), Div 2/3 teams can snap them up like small change.
I don't disagree with the hostile system in general, it's actually good but It's unrealistic to not give you the opportunity to renegotiate with YOUR player before he leaves! He may even leave one game after he joined, that simply doesn't happen. Right now the game is becoming more about replacing players than it is about playing a football season.

Perhaps some sort of player loyalty would be good, not every player in the world would be guaranteed to jump ship at the trigger of a buy-out clause.

I believe few 2nd or 3rd division teams will be interested in a player of the other divisions. Even if it's true, if a player is well paid, you can get 3 or 4 times the market value of the player, and you can replace the player who has been hostiled, and still save some money to invest. I think hostile clause is a great mechanism in this game, if you really want a player you should pay him well, simple as that.

After some thinking, I voted NO. It will simply turn hostiling into another auctioning. 17/01/2012 18:57

Maybe the morale points system should indicate weather or not a player is being paid enough to warrant a leave from the current team. just a thought.

It seems the problem comes down to money and going bankrupt with early divisions then it is over hostile clauses but I think to get to a point to be able to buy-out a player means time and patience with playing the game. I see too many people dropping all there cash on one really good player or not building the stadium correctly to earn enough cash and then having the team retained or just left in the dark.

I wish ALL my players were hostiled . No. Really. Please take a look. Feel free to hostile any of them. As many as you want.

And by the way. If you want to hostile check this out: http://uk.strikermanager.com/inicio.php?accion=/jugador.php%3Fid_jugador%3D4210250

It'a System Bot that just landed in my groups and I don't like his team at all. Feel free to shop.

I love them hostiles. The best bit is the reaction of some players when they find their player has been hostiled.

Case A:

I was checking out the team i gonna play next and saw he had a 48/21 CF for 11M. Hostile!!! He got angry and decided to hostile my 38/23 CF for 6M solving two of my problems, what to do with the extra CF and removing the blot of player I believed i had paid over the market value for and was planning to sell for a loss.

Case B:

Hostiled myself a LDF yesterday. The opposing manager decided to play tit-for-tat and hostiled 3 of my players, including a nearly-over-the-hill RB. Wasn't it just day before i was wondering where to finance my stadium expansion from???

You know, usually when someone comes on to the forum to whinge about having their players hostiled, they open themselves up for a team clean out. Wouldn't be the first time someone has posted about hostiling with 15 players in their team, and left with 5... 17/01/2012 23:16
