 Here is what the top scorer list looks in my league



Now, the top scorer was purchased today, just before the final game of the season, and is now scheduled to get the 50GB. But spare a moment for the 2nd guy, who is 22 goals ahead, and has worked hard this season for the reward.

I personally think that this is highly unfair, as GB reward is to encourage top scorers and not top-purchasers.

Few suggestions regarding this:
1. Reset the goal scored and other stats when a transfer happens
2. Top scorer reward to the Team having highest goals or highest goal difference.

 Fully understand your pain. I'd be quite peeved if that happened to me. I don't understand why the goals tally within the league is not reset when a player joins another team in a different league. Surely it makes logical sense.

Those who feel it's fair are straight out cheating the system. The game has a fault there and they are taking advantage of it, knowingly. This game seems to have a few different kinds of characters who play it, some are seriously shady characters. Hard work should be rewarded, not the other way around, where shady deals beat out those who have worked all season long to get their player to win the "golden boot".

Disappointing that there is a culture within this game of people trying to take the easy road and then try to convince themselves that they are not at fault for their shady dealings. Honesty is the best policy, the game should reward it 		26/03/2012 12:57

 I agree, instead of rewarding the manager who used his strikers the best way, it rewards people like those who buy 30years olds CF with 150+ goals from lower divisions, or any other manager who buys strikers at last minute just because of goals scored

 Yay me! Never been a cause of 'controversy' before ... here is my side of the story:

I didn't actually plan on 'stealing' the 50 GB reward for most goals. My CF got injured last friday (iirc, might have been during a PL game over the weekend) and I needed to replace him for today's game (the only junior CFs I have with temp promotions left aren't good enough yet). I scooped this guy up because he had a decent average and was decent bargain, I didn't even notice how many goals he had scored. I'm happy I did as he scored two goals (including a last second penalty) to win a much needed victory to hold onto 3rd spot.

It wasn't until this morning when I noticed how many goals he had. I guess there is nothing stopping someone from paying his HC and stealing him away from me to do the same ...

As per Sanyam's suggestions:

1) This makes the most sense, but I would restrict the wipe to only when the player is transferred from a lower division. Inter-division or from a higher division shouldn't be cleared.
2) I can see why you would like this idea, since it would have benefited you, as you ran away with our group this season. Still not a bad idea, but I like point #1 the best. 		26/03/2012 21:23

 The way it works now means that You can actually buy GB with Striker currency instead of real money.

I would say either fix this bug or make it possible for everybody to convert Striker currency into GB without using this loophole on the expense of others. 		26/03/2012 21:48

 Fargone, I cant question your motive, if you say it wasnt winning the GB. But I still feel that the 2nd place person has been wronged here. Even though his CF is also a recent purchase, he did make efforts to get there..

anyways, i was never after the GB, and this thread is not for personal gain. I just think that it is not fair that top scorer is changed on last day of the season. 		27/03/2012 03:15

 I agree. Only goals actually scored in a league for one team should count towards the top scorer award. Once a scorer gets transfered to another team the count should start at 0.

In real life soccer nobody would even get the idea to count the goals a young talent scored in some lower amateur class before he got transfered to a professional team towards his goal count for example in premier league in England.
