 Everybody is exited when they loose the promotion spot at the end of season and are offered an early promotion spot in the next season. Personally if I get an early promotion offer to div 1 I'll surely take it.
BUT is it really justified???
I had a bot team in my group. Managers scored 10+ goals against him and some saved stamina when his player was injured. Now it has been replaced by a good team. Competition is always good but the teams who played the bot got benefit which the others won't get.
And so is my question. Is the promotion of a team justified by loss for 14-15 other teams?? 		07/07/2012 15:57

It's just dumb luck whether you get to face the bot team before it becomes a real user, nothing we can do about that. It sucks, wouldn't mind getting 10+ goals to work with, just makes the div more fun now though. 		07/07/2012 16:44

 Not fair, IMO (even though I took advantage of a very favorable early promotion to 6th on the board in div 5 a few seasons ago). I like them in the sense that they move the bot teams down, but totally agree with your reasoning.

If they are going to offer them, all offers should be made at the midpoint of the season after each team has played every other team once. That's the only fair way I see to do it. It would only be slightly unfair in terms of ticket revenue depending on the ranking of the team that comes in, but that's such a minor impact I don't think it really matters. 		07/07/2012 17:32

 It should be constant throughout the season for teams in division 5-7. Division 4 and under can have rather poor teams in them and it's really no fun playing a 20 average bot team. Even though you get an easy win over a bot, it's really not entertaining. I'd rather lose a close game to a competitive team than win against a bot, and there are so many bots in the lower divisions.

For divisions 1-3, you can't really sneak a bad team in like you can in 4 and lower, so I like sabrefan's idea of mid season promotion, I'd also add beginning of season early promotions, and perhaps even do them automatically based on team ranking so that 1-3 are full with actual teams at the start of the season. It's a fair option and the ticket revenue fairness thing isn't really an issue (unless you've got a finished stadium) because you're always going to get better incomes facing a good team late in the season as opposed to early since your stadium will have been built up more later. 		07/07/2012 18:28

 I like the idea of a mid-season promotion for divisions 1-3 and a constant promotion schedule for divisions 5-7 due to the large number of bots (why not just can div 7 altogether?), or to even things up, in the case of @blue, a win against a bot team should only count as a 3-0 win regardless of the score. 07/07/2012 23:55

 What I do not agree to is when people from same divisions are allowed to change groups just like that....I hope it is considered as a bug and will be fixed soon.
