I been doing alot of looking through public schools and have a few thought:

primarily why would anyone build less than an excellent school

and why do people still build in nations such as China or Ireland (anywhere rated less than 5 ball rated)

all i see when i look in them is 100's of disappointing youth who are never gonna sell

i am suprised managers still persist especaly now as a % of construction cost is refunded on demolition

I have a few schools and some of them are at the low end of the school scales. I've found the following:

1. Player forecast counts as much as progression.
2. Player starting point determines the forecast.
3. Players from lower rated countries have a higher starting point.
4. The quality of your coach/youth coach determines the forecast.

So you can get great players in 3* rated countries, if they have a decent starting rating + good progression.

I only build excellent schools to maximise the progression rates. I have sold a few players for 20m from these schools. It doesn't mean it is a great earner, but I'm developing my youth team and earning money. You cannot expect to get rich from schools, you need to develop the talent and then sell once they graduate.

You need to be lucky enough to get the right players, then resourceful enough to know the right buyers. That's how you make money from your schools. 27/07/2012 08:09

To be honest I think people will have more luck buying juniors near age of promotion then selling them or use them in their first team. 27/07/2012 10:08

Check out the no of schools I have. They keep giving me 30+ players which gets sold for 200k+. An occasional 40+ gives 1m+. Got a 35 average cf and got 2m
