 ok this is stupid

my good m8 Dee through no fault of his own has moved divs - he got an offer and took it who wouldnt...


he was in my div3 group and was in the relagation zone but clawing his way back up, in fact he was gonna claw his way over my team and poss knock me back into the zone :S

so i thought gr8 Dee must have taken promo to an empty div 2 slot fair enough he has gr8 squad so would do ok


but no he has had offer to switch to another div 3 group and is close to promotion slots!!!!


this is about what is right for the game - not whats best for me (now my group has a much weaker team to replace dee who prob wont over haul me)

people should not get offers to move groups in same div

i understand we dont want bot teams in div 1,2 or 3 but surely the answer here was to promote a div4 team who was topping his table

That's a valid point but will you prefer someone from a lower division to occupy the top place? Also, I believe the offers are randomly made so it could have been anybody 		13/08/2012 12:47

I've never seen promotion offers across groups before, which is weird, but I do know that promotion offers are based on team rating rather than ranking in table 		13/08/2012 12:47

 i just think in this game u should be punished for poor management

so my good m8 dee will admit he had sucked 1st half of season

yet he is rewarded with this nice safe div 3 slot - no fear of relagation now



its not ideal any teams being moved - but for me the best of the div 4 teams should have gone into this spot - say someone who had gr8 squad and was miles clear in top position 		13/08/2012 12:53

 I never really cared about it until it happened to me. Team took offer above me with a spot that would given me safer shot at promotion....

Maybe giving offer to manager in same group but in middle table before giving offers to anyone else would make it slightly better.
Or only give offer to someone in promotion spot in division below. I believe the idea was to send bots below but obviously it won't work if changes across groups are allowed 		13/08/2012 12:54

 It is crappy, and the 10th place team in my division got an offer to move up to 2nd in another division while I was sitting there in 3rd 1 point behind with a snowballs chance to jump into 2nd. However, when a team takes an offer and it leaves the 1st-3rd placed teams as bots, it makes sense to get those bots into the relegation spots, and it's better to see teams in the division get a move up rather than lower division teams moving up from one divisions promotion spots to the others.

But it does seem like a slightly broken system. Perhaps when a bot is at the top of the board every team could be moved up one spot and the bot placed in last place. Because if you're going to move up a division, it might as well be to the bottom of the division. 		13/08/2012 14:47

 mind u there are so few bot teams in div 3 upto div 1 that they prob dont need to bother with all this


leave divs 3+ alone they are such hard divs that bot team will naturaly be relagated anyway

 Didn't realise this happens until I saw 2 new teams in my Div 4 group. I was like "hello, who are you?" Turned out they moved from another div 4 group thinking they'd have a better chance of promotion in my group. I say F*** that this 2nd spot for promotion is mine D*** it So yeah I was also quite surprised by lateral moves thought it was only a choice to move up in a division. Well, good to catch this thread and learn a bit more.

 I would like to see promotion offers only at the start of season from botted teams the season before, up or sideways, makes no difference.
