Prices will come down in time but there are great deals out there... Exactly. Managers who mis-price their players get no sales, forcing them to offer those players at lower prices later. Watch the market regularly, and you will see this happening constantly. The @s' attempts at price setting, on the other hand, only force prices higher and higher. Attempting to control this market will continue to be self-defeating. EDIT: Speaking of which, would everyone please stop pricing 50ish CFs at $20m. I absolutely refuse to pay more than $13. He meant he's the guy that has done the research into the economics of SM, not that he overprices players. Everyone overprices their players sometimes. As others have said, sucker born every minute and what not, and it honestly works. I've made quick profits off of a few players just because I listed them on the market for 10-15 mil more than I bought them a week or so before. I figure if nobody bites, I've still got the player, if someone does, then that means I can presumably find a similar player for a similar price I originally paid. There are the people that criminally overprice their players because they see in the similar transfers that someone got 100 million for a 55 average CF, and assume all 55 average CF's are worth 100 million, but you've just got to ignore them. I've found the way to get the best deals on players is to get them direct from players and not even dealing with auctions. You can usually get a better price and you don't have to deal with the rouge player that thinks they need a player no matter what the cost. |
