as attackers get quicker and stronger defence is absolutely key. you want each attacker to have to go through 3 or 4 tackles before getting a shot away. even then you want players in the way blocking shots. one thing i keep suggesting to up and coming managers - watch some div 1 & 2 games and steal some ideas  |

I fixed For LW RW you can change to LW LM LIM or RW RM RIM , they're all good |

Sabre mentioned upgrading and training his defense earlier in this thread, I think this is the one thing that could make a massive difference to you. Build your formation around your defense. In division 2, I built a formation that should concede less goals that my opponent. I ended the season on (I think), 28 wins, 10 draws and 0 losses. I won most of my games by a single goal Make sure that no-one can get through to the keeper and you've got at least a point. If you can then snatch a goal, then that's 3 points. I'm using the same formation with my admittedly awful team this time around. http://en3.strikermanager.com/liga_privada.php?id_liga=41526 Position 6 with a brand new team, against div 5 teams in the main. But look at the goals scored/conceded, you dont need to score hundreds, just need to stop the opponent. |

you're right Uru I did, but I still scored one more than everyone else when I played against them. Sorry I forgot, I scored 4 against you. ^_^ Not saying my plan was perfect, but it did work at the end of the day. |

i may not agree to that defensive approach as the best form of defence is attack. Beside last season i was in d same situation, even your position is better than mine as at last season, but as my forwards develops, i end d season above d top ten and this season i'm in contention for promotion(ofcourse my team is not ready) | 29/10/2012 01:45 |
