I didn't want to delay posting until it was ready. This should address the concerns many pirates have. Looks like will try this formula for division ranking... If division is 1. Then use board. Otherwise increment each division by a multiple of 20 plus board. Div 1 Board 1 = 1 Div 1 Board 2 = 2 Div 1 Board 20 = 20 Div 2 Board 1 = 21 Div 2 Board 2 = 22 Div 2 Board 20 = 40 Div 3 Board 1 = 41 Div 3 Board 2 = 42 Div 3 Board 20 = 60 Div 4 Board 1 = 61 Div 4 Board 2 = 62 Div 4 Board 20 = 80 etc.. This should also make weekly rankings more meaningful as its not possible (other than sysbot activity) for a team to change divisions week to week. However you can change your board position significantly in a week. |

Okay.. I have updated to use new algorithm. It is in the spreadsheet under experimental division rankings and experimental combined PL rankings sheets. It didn't have a massive impact (which wasn't expected), but it did make some minor adjustments. Still far from perfect, but fine tuning is continuing. Overall OLD 01. I now have data more granular than just division so that I can augment and make a slightly better stab at Team Rankings than what UPlay is currently doing.
