When I first started out, I just used the best players that I had and made a formation out of that. | 08/02/2013 14:50 |

One winner in the poll, it's been settled unanimously. 4-4-2, but which 4-4-2 is it? Confucious says experiment with all a few formations and perhaps model your play on your favourite real life team. |

No best formation chapla. It depends on a number of factors 1st. what your team is capable of. Lets say u train wide players. like mids.. lets say xIM. Your team would normaly consist of more xIMs which are better than the rest of the team. In this situation, it would be more logical to play like 3-6-1 or 3-6-2. Play according to your teams strenghts. 2ndly. The formation in not that important. its the ADVANCE FORMATION. Many threads including some youtube videos has been posted about this. Its important to see where your players are positioned on the field when the ball is in a certain area. you can tweak them every match according to your opponent's weaknesses. / Example : opponent plays with 3 defenders. but RDF is only 30 avg while others at 50+ avg. it is good to move yourplayers to attack on the left side of the field to exploint the weakness of the slow RDF. 3rd. Some formations mayb better against people who pack there defence. and some may not. So each formation has its pros and cons, strength and weaknesses. Example : A,B,C are 3 teams. Formation of team A defeats Team B. Team B however defeats team C with his same formation that lost to team A. But Team C's formation that lost to Team B defeats Team A's formation which defeats team B! Hope you see the point there x.x! even im a bit confused xD And im sure many other factors out there. just listing the obvious Hope it helped. Oh yeah... ther is NO BEST FORMATION. |

In a lower division, I'd say you should use an attacking formation. Maybe a 3-6-1, 3-5-2, or 3-4-3 | 08/02/2013 15:44 |
