Its easy to beat them, adjust you tactics accordingly and stop whining. you have advanced tactics for a reason Well...the reason why champions league teams never play OT might be because attackers in champions league are never stupid enough to outdribble an entire defense, be one on one with the opposing goalie and then pass to a teammate in much worse scoring position, who is offside on top of that, like it happens in striker manager all the time. And I mean not once in a game, but often many times in a row. Unless players become smarter and able to learn how to avoid the same stupid offside situation OT is just a pain in the neck, which makes SM quite unrealistic. How does a trainer beat an unrealisticly extreme OT in the real world? He tells his striker: "If You are right in front of the goal with the ball with no defender in front of You, You just shoot and score instead of passing the ball to Your winger, who's positioned next to the corner flag, You stupid idiot!". Unfortunately in SM You can't do that. You have to watch this stupid idiot to do it again and again..... Edited by beachbernie 08-05-2013 18:14 My record against offside traps this and last season is almost 98% wins, 1 loss. It's very easy to make an advanced formation that forces players to shoot rather than pass to an offside teammate most of the time. I get between 7-13 offsides per game against offside trap. This is acceptable, as you should be pushing your guys right up to the edge of the defensive line anyways to generate opportunities. |

Well, my track record against offside traps isn't that bad either, it just hurts so much to watch your striker waste one great chance after the other, because he simply refuses to shoot at the goal and pass to the winger instead, who is offside and not even in scoring position. |

yes, but watch my games - 99% of the time, my strikers don't attempt to pass to another in offside position. Most offsides are balls sent forward from the midfield line or defensive half, which is just like a real game | 13/05/2013 00:54 |
