FC Kylle is out of the cup after losing to a poor Div 4 side. Considering I am gunning for promotion, this might not be the worst thing to be out the cup, but I am also confident despite losing to a worse avg team, that my tactics were sound, bar a few slider changes I need to make. My opponent blasted the effort 100% from start to finish. I have always thought the game gives too much credit for such a crude tactic, especially last season in Div 3. I can't afford to be so blunt, so I have to consider saving my stamina a little more, and this ultimately was the difference in the game. Some of his players are now on 47 stamina, whereas my lowest is 64, despite starting more or less the same. This will make a big difference over the coming season. I was 2-0 up until the 76th minute, 2-2 at the final whistle, and lost on penalties. I think I can feel a little hard done by! Congrats to all those who went through today. I was doomed anyway (Div 2 side in the next round), but perhaps to win the promotion war I must lose a battle. I would have liked the revenue from playing the Div 2 side, but it just was not worth doing what my opponent did today. He got lucky. As usual, I didn't. Edited by sicox86 03-04-2014 20:20 |

the good is better than the bad. Take heart Sicox. I wish u easy route next season. I personally is concerned about my players stamina. Even though playing with lower effort, playing 5times + 2pl matches is quiet much. Little bit lucky my league opponent do not pose much threat and my PL 0%effort rule is really helping.. | 03/04/2014 20:11 |

I played the cup at 50e but seeing sicox news this morning added in an advanced tactic. My next draw is an @ - FC Ubuntu. Needless to say, barring a serious error on his part I will be out of the cup this Thursday but will collect a nice pay day at least. |

imo, inasmuch as you might have wanted to focus on promotion, I still think it's an exit too early. Should be your earliest? You would have loved a hard push if possible, even beyond that bulldozing division 2 team. Well, as you have said, promotion can't elude you now. If it does, I'll fry you.  And vgates, looks like you've lost your belief in "The magic of Striker Cup" --- can't seem to find the link to that press release. |

I haven't lost my belief in the magic, however, even in the FA Cup the magic doesn't strike the same team multiple seasons in a row.
