Then it's evidently 2 seasons in most cases. For instance I have a player who I want to employ in 92 days from today(whenever the current season starts), I should have retired him before the end of previous season. If not, he won't come in 92 days and the period extends another 3 months.

If he's in my Hall of Fame as a player, why wouldn't he take a hometown discount to work for me? 300k a week seems steep.. I've improved both my coaches past 90 but am only paying 260 and 220. 24/09/2014 22:04

88 is pretty good actually.
If you have a player/find a player with loads of "Most Valued Player" to his name, you can retire him to your Hall of Fame when he reaches 30 years of age. After retiring him, you wait for another 3 months after which he'll be available to work as an employee for your team, you hire him straight over as your coach.Supposing if you don't fire this 88% coach of yours until then, you can replace him with your retired player and he'll be 90% quality (in general, 2% more than your current employee) working at the same salary, then you can train your coach using GBs to 99%.

I hired a 88% coach (I spent 26 million to find one and was tired of going further than that, my bad luck) at that salary. Then I put him on 2 degrees that increased him to 92%, then I hired my retired player in place of him and now he is 94, so just need 2 more degrees and 1 course to get him to 99.

When you hire a retired player, you'll be given 3 positions where you can hire him, you choose one. The positions can be anything but doctor and financier.

The salary will be the same as that of your previous employee. In my case, the retired player was +2% than the previous one. Normally they can improve the quality from 1 to 10 points as it is given here - http://en.strikermanager.com/foros/hilo.php?id=289211
