Hey guys I read somewhere of a "trick" about season tickets...something like raising the price between one season and another and then restore the normal season ticket price to get a huge amount of money at the beginning of the new season. How does this work? How many season ticket holders should I have to make it profitable? | 14/06/2015 11:49 |

True, you probably don't have enough season ticket holders to make it worth your time this season. So next season, try to steadily increase your season ticket holders thruout the season.. because this is the entire point (IMHO) of the season ticket holder statistic. I have 9252 season ticket holders as of today. After my last home friendly on Tuesday next week, I will increase my season ticket prices to 6000 so that the end-of-season calculation sees that and gives me monies accordingly. I don't know the exact calculation, but between half to 2/3 of my season ticket purchasers DO pay the raised rate. Even if that's only 6000 people, that's $36M for free. Equally important is the next step: Decreasing the price to be realistic throughout the season. All thruout the next season, beginning with that very first home game, you want to repopulate your season ticket holder count... so that you will have a tall number from which to get $6000/ticket from 2/3 of that tall number. The realistic season ticket price is [ [number of home games remaining]*[price of general seat] minus some to be a discount, I like to round down to the nearest multiple of 25]. I've found that if you set your season ticket price to be exactly the same as the general price for all remaining games.. eg, zero discount in the above formula.. you won't gain any season ticket holders that game. So if my general price is 61, and there's 15 home games left [including friendlies], that's 915.. so depending how brave you are, put the season price at 900 at that point. Why is this not implausible? If your general seat is 61 and there's 60 home games in the season [friendlies count, and if it's a div4 or div5 team I try to play games at my stadium bc I'll get the max income available for div4] that's a 3660 face value for season tickets.. so $6000 is just gouging, which is fine. You'll add 200-500 additional season ticket buyers per game, it adds up. If you choose to NOT replenish your season ticket holder count, the 2/3 calculation will bring you less money next year.. so it's in your best interest to keep increasing your season ticket holder count all year! Does the system have any ability to link the two leagues together? My suspicion is that anyone relegated will be entirely forgotten in 3 months when it's time to sign up again.. because the relegated person won't be seen posting on the top division forums, etc.. | 15/06/2015 19:54 |

Why 3 months? Registrations are done in a week. |

All the teams will be asked to use the top division forum. Just as suggestion though, like my league. | 15/06/2015 20:17 |

Cool.. I didn't know that the multiple-PL organization had been worked out already! Also, a detail on my above post about season tickets: When you have your season price set to 6000, you will lose about 1/3 of your season ticket holders. I have 9389 right now (gained 140 on Monday). When the game opens back up Wednesday night 6/24, I will be around 6100.. so I have to gain 140 per match [friendlies don't count as you should imagine, attendance is barely 30k for those] to get back to 9400 by next season's end.. and I could decrease general prices a bit next season as a strategy to get 11k, 12k after the next 33 home games [total for PL+League in one season]. |
