The posts prior to your two were a couple guys joking with each other who have known each other for a while. Nothing to do with you. Although seems like the first time you've run into "The Offsides Quandary," not the first time it has been discussed on this forum. And probably won't be the last..... Besides, I'd say the question is more.. "Is the error consistent from game to game.. and is that amount of error desirable" rather than "Potentially wrong" Remember, the error is probably defined as a random variable with some parameters - meaning that errors can still happen even if coding says it could be 100% accurate.. |

I once thought I was called offside when my player was in my own half. My player was actually in my opponents half when the ball was kicked. That is an offside. It is where the player is when the ball is kicked. If you slow down the replay you can often see that the sim is correct. The one definite offside bug is the thrown in offside. That's the one that I have seen consistently. |

Come on V, when a player is clean through on goal but passes to a guy in front of him it is broken. Now and again, fine, but consistently, no. I have no problem with offsides where the guy making the pass has defenders in front of him (like in real football), but the throw ins and clean through passes are just silly. Edit - i'm not gonna leave the game over it, and i don't think the op should either, but i don't get why anyone thinks it's not a bad thing in the game. Edited by mr_euskaltel 22-08-2016 09:51 |
