Welcome to the most must see show in all of Fantasy Football the one and only Striker Manager virtual studios.
I’m Marwan and i will be your host for the night along with @Oyewale and Siryemmy. Joining me today will be the OM architect Ali Agharabi representing Olympus circle, the special one Darra representing MGS and the one and only Sir.Emelie for Plus football league.
Our topic for the day is “Best PL of the decade!”
This interview was done based on the numerous requests following the poll that was created weeks ago.
Other PLs could have made the cut such as The frenchies, Best 100, ligas privada brasil and FBI! Hopefully they have something to say in the comments below!
Marwan: General Maximus from Mercs ~ i12 could not make it to the studio due to heavy rain but he will be answering our questions and will send them to us. @vgates on the other hand is nowhere to be found, there is a 1Billion finder’s fee for anyone who spots him!
Hopefully they will send it on time and will not forget.. as it seems that this is what mercs ~i12 is all about
Sources tell us that @vgates and whatamidoinghere are going head to head in terms of who will forget to change their tactic to 0effort the most!
Marwan: So let’s start with the first question boys:
why do you think your PL is the best?
Darra: My definition of best is for something to be in a really good situation
MGS is a competitive zero effort private league that helps every manager save stamina for league (added advantage) and also reward the top 3 winners with little in game cash ...I'm the admin of the private league and I record players stamina, and also send pm's to managers to ensure they don't forget to change tactics every weekend and also ensure no manager cheats. I can also assure you that we don't cheat and the mistake rate is 30%...I doubt we have this kind of competitive zero effort league in the English server.
Ali: Pretty simple.
The Olympus Circle™ is the best Private League on any arm of Striker Manager there has been, there is and there will ever be for a handful of reasons.
It was strictly designed to be a Private League where every team challenging for Private League glory in it drops every armament, aggressiveness and hell (all in the form of tactical efforts), and play like doves even with the full squad strength you’d regularly see on Matchday Live week in, week out. With this concept of a Private League (which has both been tested and proven to be positive), any team which is willing to compete for honours in their respective Divisions/Leagues can do so without any difficulties.
Over a period of seasons, The Olympus Circle™ kept records after records to authenticate this style of play. Though, it might not be new to everyone, it was seen that the individual player efforts lost while playing with the least possible effort is between 8 to 10 per cent. Just so you know, 10 per cent rarely happened. So, this means that after your team recuperates for the new League week, your players wouldn't have lost any efforts over the weekend. They’d be fresh for their League game on Monday, ready to unleash their hell against any team which stands as a god between them and the three points up for grabs.
“Okay, okay, Ali. How was this monitored?”, you might ask.
This is where we edge out every other Private Leagues running with the same concept upon which we are founded.
1. Over the seasons, we introduced what we called “The Sheriff of Olympia”. It was a system which we ran for many seasons and was used to checkmate offending parties and handed them punishments for violating the rules.
Have a look at what it looked like:
a.
http://prntscr.com/qjpwxb b.
http://prntscr.com/qjpx8s After many seasons of assessing and reassessing all participating managers, the League was eventually trimmed down from 42 members to 14 solid members who, without the Sheriff, have been abiding by the rules, and when they rack up any infractions, they own up and tender official apologies.
2. Also, the Private League runs without any Prize Money. When there’s no prize to look forward to, when there is no $42 million to look forward to, you’ll definitely think twice before deliberately breaking the rules.
Even further, the Olympus Circle™ is the first and only Private League to have a website detailing the history of the Private League, the existing competitive structure, how you could apply if you so wished to join, and many more. To add to this, when we want to, we don't use crude methods to recruit managers to the League. We make use of Google Forms for that purpose.
We boast of managers in top flight divisions of the game.
And yeah! We were also going to have a trophy which would be taken from one winner to the other, but that was when the game began to bore a number of us. It's still in our archives, ready to be revived when the game becomes interesting again.
I could go on and on, but I'll end it here because I'm sure you all reading this can't wait to be Olympians already.
We have truly set the pace running.
Sir Emelie OF ⊕ Plus Football League ™ A1
&
⊕ Plus Football League ™ A2.
... And yes, we're the best. The pl is actually two and that's A1 & A2.
Reasons ✍🏻
.....
Firstly, this is five years now since Plus Football League came into existence. The league has two levels which are A1 and A2. The top three of A2 promotes to A1 and the last three in A1 relegates to A2 at the end of every season.
The league doesn't have any stipulated effort to be used and I believe that's one of the thing that makes the league very competitive. It gives the lesser teams the opportunity to challenge the top teams because sometimes the big teams normally drop their first eleven for private league games.
Furthermore, there is a price for the top three teams in the private league. This is for all the participants to be serious not just in division league but also in the pl.
Importantly, you will have to attach our PL symbol before we can invite you to our private league but sometimes it becomes a challenge because some do tell me how to copy the symbol or where to get is a problem for them. The symbol makes us unique in the world of SM and makes us to recognize one another when we read your team name in any forum or division leagues.
And many more reasons like lively chats in our PL forum and other things.... 😁
Marwan: Interesting.. so much work!
Is this visible to all participating managers? How many people have access to it? Or is it only @sicox? (speaking to Ali)
Ali: Yes, it was on our forum pages for all to see. We patiently watched every game and monitored every team's individual player efforts losses to come up with those records.
Ali : We did this for the three arms of the Private League, for all the 42 participating teams.
Marwan: So it used to be 3 arms of PL.. now you’re down to 1arm with 14 obedient managers right?
Ali: Yes. And this is our 26th Striker Manager season together.
Siryemmy: there's something I'm always curious about Olympus PL... You guys hardly make it to div1, is there someone who have made it to div1 and was well known competing or was there a member of you guys who ever won the SC??? Please enlighten us more Why Olympus have not really been at the top there competing with the best,,,
Ali: I want to believe it all boils down to every manager's personal preferences.(replying to Siryemmy's question)
Ali: For instance, for me, for many seasons now, I made a personal decision not to be competitive in the game because of a number of reasons. If you ask someone like me why I, as an Olympian, have not been competing with the very best, I'd tell you I'd rather make more money farming players than playing in Division 1.
Ali: So, concerning this, I may not be able to speak for every Olympian. But, I can tell you that we have had a few of our managers compete in the topmost division of the game.
Ali: 9lawi has been there. @Fahorax, who sadly is leaving the game, has been there for ages. A good number of Olympians are also currently playing their trades in Division 2. You are free to check.
Siryemmy: Nice hearing that.. Le Pug(faho) Truly compete in Top division for many years
Siryemmy: to darra, I can admit Truly. MGS interesting, competitive and you guys are discipline.... But I'm just very curious to know the meaning of MGS, the full meaning to be precise
Darra: okay
MGS stand for managers. so anyone you see having it shows we are family ✌🏼in game
Marwan: i would like to ask darra for how many seasons has MGS been running?
Darra: Alright
This season (37) makes it the 20th season MGS has been running ...and very much active ..i said earlier competitive and cheat free among members ....unlike some private league where they apologize to their selves for breaking the rules more often.
Marwan: I think our readers should weigh the benefits vs risk of using 0effort.
Sometimes you keep 99% stamina for league games but other times you forget to change effort also if there is no 0effort rule, then this makes it easier to abide by the rules! I love the relegation/promotion idea!
Oyewale: I'd like to ask for the motive behind creating such great leagues and what has been the challenges so far?
Sir Emelie: The motive behind it is because the game itself is competitive and when something becomes that competitive you'd like to create a league that will supersede other ones.
The challenge so far is simply because human beings are not easy to control. Especially the adults. That's why you will see a league where it's strictly stated that only 0 effort is to be used but some managers will break this rule.
This season make our private league (16seasons)
Darra: The motive for creating Mgs zero effort league is to make a competitive zero effort private league and also reserve stamina for league games..
Rosabel OF XXII TROFEO LA AMISTAD private league replied
I don't know if it will be the best, but it is a democratic league, in which you vote and all the votes are worth the same.
Yes, zero effort is played. The cheating team is expelled from the league. There is only 1 division.
It’s been running for almost 22seasons! The motive behind it is Friendship and to earn some extra money.
Manager General Maximus replied for MERCS private league (OLDEST PRIVATE LEAGUE)
1- why you think your PL is better than the rest. Anything special about it?
Because I'm in it. duh!
All jokes aside, we have been a group of friends who have stuck together for a long time now. Our founder is CelloG, he was so proud of us when we were the ones going toe to toe with Pirates, and when we were sharing formations xD. There has been some controversial talk being circulated, but once and for all, we are not responsible for the elimination of formation sharing. It was first eliminated in the ES server and then here as part of season changes.
I believe we also have the record for most PL members in Div 1 at the same time with 8. So, yeah, we're kind of a big deal haha.
2- Info about the PL (eg. is it 0 effort?, prize money?, rules & regulations of your PL)
Used to be max prize money for many seasons, then we decided to go 0 effort, specific formation, and allow our strikers to score as many goals as possible for max XP gains. It was either that or we all go play with div 5 teams....
3- History of your PL (how many season it's been running, top managers playing in it, recruitment of new managers?)
Oh god, you'd have to ask monu, akleb, or Colebourn that question. The PL has been in existence for 34 of the 37 seasons of this server, since season 4. Some members of the pirates (who eventually joined us once most of them quit)
4- If there someone monitoring games. (Eg. monitoring effort used by PL managers)
Who the heck has time for that? haha. Maybe @vgates does cuz he always complains about my effort (or lack thereof) haha.
Very good thank you all for taking your time to reply
