The new training is better than what we had last week, that's for sure. I don't see it narrowing the gap too much or solving most of the out of control $ issues... but hey... at least it's something. Hopefully we'll find out what the specifics actually are soon. Thanks @'s for sticking up for us. |

it will narrow the gap because the learning curve is very steep at lower levels (below 60 it looks like, maybe a bit more) and you can put quite a few points on a player in a season. If you acquire the right players by division 5, you can build a serious team by Division 2, capable of taking on anyone. As for the out of control money issues: Part of the rapid inflation is the idea that there will be VERY SLOW training. So immediately higher average players become a hot commodity. Training that is much, much faster will fix that feeling and ease markets. (Think of an oil shock. Libya and Egypt go into disarray, oil goes to $100/barrel...the supply chain isn't disrupted one bit, but price doubles in a day) If people post the max training they get, or see at each position, you will quickly know the upper limits. As for getting an exact formula? I don't know about that...I know as much as you do, but the % chart they put up should allow you to see what is good/bad for your team. |

ure right most of big teams are managed by the admins they know what they are doing to acquire good players. Imagine 18 year old player with 79 average what kind of training boosted 18 year of age player like that. We spend time and money on this game but we end up beign screw by some big guns. | 21/10/2011 22:05 |

It happens it's just bad luck when they decrease early. | 21/10/2011 23:17 |

Think of it this way, each player has a training curve at bit like an upsidedown x^2 curve. But some of the curves go up to 90 some to 60 and some don't even make it to 40. If you're at the top of the curve it starts to go down. |

I'm going to address a lot of questions raised. Because that's the way it is. A lot of the big guns have sunk real cash into this game, and spent months acquiring these youth. You think this stuff happens overnight? No, it happens through meticulous record keeping, luck, forecasting, and paying attention to other players. It took me 5 weeks, hours per day, and lots of spreadsheets to acquire my youth squad. I started after about 3-4 weeks into the game and asking questions. I sold a youth earlier this year that I acquired in May at avg 23 for like 7M. after 4 months of training and 29 points. http://uk.strikermanager.com/inicio.php?accion=/historial.php%3Fid_jugador%3D925018 This is ENTIRELY possible with the new training values. My senior squad is another story entirely, but it can be built up through equally hard work. Say what you will about previous seasons, I put 15 points on the team average of my senior squad last season, virtually all through training and hard work. It can be done. The curves are steep at the beginning and flatten out at higher levels. Now, TACTICS can beat stronger teams... even 10+ avg stronger. There are countless examples of this happening on the new sim. If you think you are going to lose, YOU WILL LOSE. I'm so sick of "the big teams will win...they have all the money" If you think that, then you will lose. If you study the losses of the better teams and use the walnut in your head instead of whining about how you will never get ahead, you would develop sound tactics, strong youth and beat better teams. You know how those teams got that money? Developing youth over months and months, then selling them. Good teams get players now. Great teams take the long view. (strong language warning, make sure you have headphones on) I assure you, I will never have the money that the "Big" clubs have. I've never had more than $30M cash in my account (except to get the one good goalkeeper) I currently have 14M, and spent half this week at in the red -$5M, I have $30M credits in the bank, giving me a net balance of -$25M. Do you think I am a bad team because I don't have money? I bet not. What do you think my target is in this game? To be a mediocre division 4 team? Get real. I don't play any game to lose. And I don't play any game thinking I should lose. Losing is not an option for winners. It *is* an option for losers. Don't have the money? Be smarter. As for the negative training... bad luck. It would have been better to not make an issue of it, sell him, and buy an equal player with a green arrow for about the same price. NOW, by asking for everyone to look, you have hurt his value, and let everyone know he is on a downward slope. You won't get good value if you sell him...not good advertising. Some players are busts. I've seen more than my fair share of them. If you doubt that, go look at my transaction history and see all the blanks. Those are the players I've fired for not going peaking high enough or sold for peaking too early, as your man has...many of those players I've sold at a loss... Like 2 CDF's last month. Which hurt. I thought they would be great on a theory...well... My theory was wrong and I ate a $4M loss on both. I sold them just to get them out of my sight. I'm one of those "mediocre Div 4 teams", but don't want to stay there. My team could have had a much higher average (Midfielders at least), but I wanted a "balanced" team. Yes, I was that stubborn. I just kept trying to create the team/training/players (wanting them to be "speedy" and have DF that were good at "shooting" and stuff like that) that I wanted and thought was realistic. I played a bit of "soccer (football)" when I was a youth, and I've been close with some rec leagues/high school players (that were REALLY good... after I was a computer programmer, I worked with Youth for a living). I guess I just wanted what I felt to be realistic. But at the end of last season, I just gave in and played the game the way everyone else seemed to be playing it (finding young high prog players and training midfielders). I only caught a couple of weeks of that though, so when things changed the way they did this season, I felt extra hosed... My mistake though... but what failed last season will somewhat work this season (a more "balanced" type of team/training) The changes are great. I just wish that it started out like this (I also wish there were not so many zeros on the training chart, and that everyone was trained by something like "running" but... whatever... someone plz raise S.Korea's school level! (sorry, had to get that in)) Striker Managers: (low and mid level teams) don't worry, it'll be rough for a bit, but we'll catch up eventually. Well, most of us that have larger than walnut sized brains (and free time) will at least. Question though: Does anyone know if the Sr's training is the same as the Jr's? i cant agree more with reb. jacob i hate to say this but GB is very important in this game. they were more important in old sim but in this one are important too(in this sim u can try beat any team with solid avg players, not high prog. just solid) GB managers have big advantage over basic users,so i think if u want to develop faster get 10$ and get 1000 GB,put your coaches to 99% if possible and find some high prog. players who have normaly high forecast. i know you know this but thats the way it is... lets say i buy 50 avg player with 90+ prog. and you do normal search and buy 50 avg player with 50+ prog.(i buy GK and see his forecast about 90,and you train your GK with forecast 70 and u dont know that)after 2-3 seasons there will be a big gap between our teams coz forecast and progression... not that my player will train x2 faster then yours,a can see his forecast too and see what player i will have in long term. on other side u will train your player not knowing his forecast,progression...its like cat in a bag Developers i am waiting 10 000 GB for this free advertise !!! i have only few GB left... |
