Hey gang, I must say, I really like how the new training system gives us the opportunity to personalize our players and create an identity for our team. This idea presented an opportunity for a huge step forward in this game, and I think we are well on our way to taking that step. That being said, I'm not convinced that the game has been fully adjusted for these changes. I'm going to take a stab in the dark here, and try to sort things out. In the old simulator, my LIM went up 0.750ish in his overall average with every 'organize midfielders' training. This was because the overall average of players was the only piece of data actually used in calculating the simulations. Now, individual attributes have become relevant, and overall averages are now obsolete. Having a player go up 0.750ish in overall average this season would mean going up 0.750 in every attribute category. Instead of having an impact on the game in one way (overall average), this player would influence the game better in many ways (ball steal, dribbling, passing etc.). The effect of his training would be multiplicative rather than additive, resulting in far greater training affects on better progressing players, with better coaches. Instead, this 0.750ish is (roughly) split amongst the attributes relative to the training used (0.270 in passing, 0.180 in finishing, 0.180 in technique, and 0.120 in leadership for an 'in depth passing'). This way, training still has the same actual affect on the game as before, though it appears to be minimal upon first glance. Please, correct me if I'm wrong (or confirm me if I'm right)! With all this in mind, I think other area's of the game need to be altered to reflect these simulator changes. As an example, junior players are still only promotable based on overall average, which clearly takes much longer to change. Also, it might be nice to see the decimal points of each attribute, so we can better track and assess our training. Thoughts? Cheers, Heidstra |

brezzette said: i cant agree more with reb. jacob i hate to say this but GB is very important in this game. they were more important in old sim but in this one are important too(in this sim u can try beat any team with solid avg players, not high prog. just solid) GB managers have big advantage over basic users,so i think if u want to develop faster get 10$ and get 1000 GB,put your coaches to 99% if possible and find some high prog. players who have normaly high forecast. i know you know this but thats the way it is... lets say i buy 50 avg player with 90+ prog. and you do normal search and buy 50 avg player with 50+ prog.(i buy GK and see his forecast about 90,and you train your GK with forecast 70 and u dont know that)after 2-3 seasons there will be a big gap between our teams coz forecast and progression... not that my player will train x2 faster then yours,a can see his forecast too and see what player i will have in long term. on other side u will train your player not knowing his forecast,progression...its like cat in a bag Developers i am waiting 10 000 GB for this free advertise !!! i have only few GB left... I have a 98% Youth coach and 95% Sr. coach And yup, I've used search + many times to get very high prog players... the problem is they were low avg, but I thought I could train them (but did so a bit too late). It's not game over though. It's just going to take alot longer, and with probably different players than I wanted (because of the initial low avg) |

There are some important things I've learned about this game: 1) it will change, you have to adapt And then how do you get great even through the changes?: 2) build up your squad so you will get promoted/avoid relegation 3) build your stadium In that order of importance. Make sure your team will not drop to the next division, as your ticket prices and attendance will also drop. Once promotion is ensured, it's impossible to overstate the importance of Pro and VIP seats. Get as many, as soon as possible. My first set of pro seats was a $6 million loan at 5%, which was about $252,000/week. My first game, I made $300k more than the previous home games, and so I was already making between 300k-600k more profit per week, so Pro seats are worth it even if you have to take out a loan for the first batch, as long as you already have a sizeable attendance in general seating. The second batch will come through very quickly with the income boost, and then it spirals from there. I'm about to put in my first set of VIP, which will pay off next season and beyond big time. Many posts have claimed that money is more important than squad, and in the long term this is true, but in the short term, if your team is getting squashed, you need to buy cheap, good players. This means an investment of time and if possible, golden balls. You need to buy old players who have high averages and cheap young players who have good progression. When your young players get better, sell the old players and put in more stadium upgrades. It's a simple formula, and it works if you play it cleverly enough. Now that the new sim also gives us a chance to out-fox better teams, you can also work around your squad's deficiencies by using good formation and tactics. I adjust my team's formation or basic tactics slightly every single game, and it's paying off with some surprise upsets against better teams, and preserving expected victories against weaker teams. jacobpark: you bought good, low average players, and training has ticked up noticeably (some of my high-progressing players improved .6 yesterday, up from .4). Your strategy was not in vain! Now train and be merry. |
