''Many people have also said that if I was going to quit, I would have quit immediately, and it's me being dramatic etc..etc... '' You are not toooooo dramatic...you only need attention when you cry. Edited by brezzette 07-01-2012 19:57 |

I have to say, all decisions or opinions aside, I just love this post, one of my all-time favorites. It does show something interesting and I believe to be brilliant. The devs don't want certainty. Most decisions have been moving away from this. It's no longer trivial to calculate progression, there is no longer an exact time at which players will be available for hostiling, it's unclear how experience is increased/calculated, and now randomness introduced in when players are hostileable! It forces more complex long-term strategizing, and brings more importance to the 2 tools that provide certainty: schools and forecast button. Very interesting to watch this game evolve. I imagine they would have documented it if they wanted us to have certainty, but I think they are expecting the uncertainty to create greater addiction to the game. Sure, they'll lose a few guys like you but the gamble is that the game will attract many more. Time will tell if that theory is correct. |

Imagine u were going to hostile a player that somebody bought from the market for £40 Million, with a clause of £50 Million. You know the player is worth over £80 Million. So you wait 24 hours to hostile. But somebody came and hostiled him in 22 hours. Yes or No, do you think that is good for the game? |

But we're discussing randomness here. THAT would be random. 24 hours is the norm, and then if it just changes immediately, without any notice, how could that be good for the game? If we're TOLD, OFFICIALLY, that there is a randomness involved, then so be it. But we haven't. |

Still. the answer is neither. Although this has an impact to you, now. It has no measurable impact on the game in general |

This is a straw man. It's clearly 24 hours + some random time increment. Or perhaps it's now 33 hours and 39 minutes time will tell. I will now give my opinion, take it or leave it: Stop whining and man up. Ask any successful person (not just manager) how many times they failed compared to succeeded. Forget intellect, schooling, luck. The single thing that separates the successful from losers is the irrational belief that a failure is just a setback to be overcome in some other way. The other junk like brains doesn't hurt to have, but only makes a difference if you treat failure like that annoying friend who you will hang out with often because he's a part of your life and make the best of him. If you're willing to let a small subset of this game kill your spirit and enjoyment, then leaving is absolutely the right choice. |

Exactly - 'Time will tell'. So basically you don't actually know the answer, and all my points about communication and rules being changed without any notification makes sense, right? |
