Here is the text of a striker news entry I just posted (http://uk.strikermanager.com/noticias_periodico.php?tipo=periodico&id_noticia=465&inside=1). Please vote for it if you want to help. 2 seasons ago, the developers of Striker Manager introduced a new simulator, which revolutionized gameplay, making it possible to actually watch your team's games. This was a huge step forward, and after many of the major bugs were worked out, it became possible to design a long-term strategy and adjust tactics/formations to improve your team's chances of winning. All was going pretty well. Then, at the beginning of this season, an update was introduced to combat offside traps. This update artificially slowed down defenders the further away from their own goal line they traveled. Later on in the season, another update was designed that reduced the play intelligence of forwards. This update introduced a handicap that made each successive shot more likely to be on target and be a goal, so that the first few shots would be very likely to miss. The idea was that teams with more shots on goal would be more likely to win. Unfortunately, both of these updates have been poorly implemented. The most recent update canceled out the defenders update by making offside trap far more effective. In addition, it makes strikers look really horrendously stupid, taking shots from the 6-yard box that careen out of bounds sideways on the touch line, missing clear wins in 4-on-1, and so on. Polite appeals to the developers to revert this update have fallen on deaf ears, and more vigorous attempts to convince them have also been ignored, and so we have no choice but to take a more aggressive approach. If you wish to help in this effort, rename your team to REVERT THE UPDATE X where X is a random number or some other word, and change your profile picture to this image: http://tinyurl.com/smprotestimage Revert the update! I'm game. Although if they aren't listening to you and you're an @, not sure how much a bunch of angry managers is going to make them listen any more. Edited by hewhoamareismyself 26-02-2012 17:39 |

Agree on Strikers need to be better Disagree on defense being slowing down, it's good thing that they're slower in mid line |

It's not so much the slow defenders as the reason why they were slowed down was just made much much stronger, so there's no point in them being slow anymore. | 26/02/2012 18:06 |

I think the sim would actually be better if they just reverted it to what it was at the start of the season and started over. | 26/02/2012 19:23 |
