With regards to @Cello: Point 1 - Yes, that is correct, but he did so through winning the weekly GB prize. That was pretty much the basis behind it. Point 2 - I agree with you. Point 3 - I 100% disagree with you. What you have mentioned has its points, but it is negligible towards inflation. Inflation is related to the money supply in the game/economy. The price of a certain position based on the demand for it, is inconsequential to inflation. |

You put in a ton of time tracking and buying /selling players, you will accumulate money quickly. It has been that way since say 1. I am not very active in that market, but managed to hostile and acquire very good players very early. Then train them relentlessly. I adopted a good strategy early and didn't change players or strategy every time something came into vogue. The one time I did was a miserable one week experience. It IS like investing, if you aren't defining the market, you are probably losing money... Or at least opportunity. Even now, I'm dejected, but only making very select changes while improving my tactics. Be smart, patient and steady, and if you can make friends and learn you will win. |

You can use all the excuses you want, but the fact is it is possible to make a ton of money without cheating in lower divs. Inflation is only a problem if the poor are unable to make any money to join the big leagues, and that is demonstrably false in striker manager. Nobody here is on fixed income unless you choose to be! |

My point was we are not in a state of runaway inflation. Some prices are actually dropping. Let's keep things to facts and not opinions please. Keep in mind that in a growth-based economy, inflation is necessary as long as the population is increasing. In your inflation study, did you take into account the fact that the meaning of 30 average has changed? Most div 7 teams start with 15-20 average players. When I started, my team had 3 50+ average players. |

Why not? Run the scout with 80+ progression search, hostile great players at low price and sell at massive profit and you will. It requires a ridiculous time and golden balls investment, but it's not limited to division. Last season I made $1.5 billion selling players, the majority of which were high forecast GKs I found by checking my 99 scout every hour I was awake. Again, let's please stick to fact and not opinion. Just because you haven't done it does not make it impossible and that is a very important distinction. Case in point - rebsiot sold an 89 forecast CF on auction last week and the buyer sold it for 22 million on auction. What was the difference that caused the price difference? The seller's auction ended on Saturday, reb's ended on Wednesday. Add up a series of these little brilliancies and you can out-earn a div. 1 team as well, it just takes some extreme commitment and observation skills. P.S. I use reb's player as an interesting example because it is a clear fact that reb's long-term financial strategy is brilliant, so he won't be offended by a tiny example of someone else in a lower division doing it even better with a single player Edited by @CelloG 26-08-2012 21:39 |

I could never afford a star player and the wage bill to keep one also takes money from guys who can afford them.Dee you want a recession ? When you got your 5 schools you posted a price on various progression players which has become a bench mark do juniors now and most were over priced so if you want recession don't post such things. Are you exempt from this recession? You may not know it but by your advertising your schools and prices you have only made the price of juniors way higher.. | 26/08/2012 21:44 |

Nobody here is on fixed income unless you choose to be! You can also make it to the top without being some sort of superman in terms of GB. I dropped more than new 1 XBOX game, but less than 2 XBOX games into SM at the beginning. Since then, my spending is significantly less. Look at my player turnover. There was a 5-6 week period where I filled up my junior squad and stabilized my senior squad. Then I stabilized and trained. 288 day AVERAGE for my entire senior squad. that is about 9 months, or 3 seasons per player.... I've had 9 players for over a year.
