brezzette, On average this game appears to have about 150-250 people playing at any one time. Do you have any thoughts on why you think this is the case. I would suggest that people are not 'enjoying the ride, moving through divisions'. All of us that play clearly enjoy the game as it is but we are few and far between, and the game as it stands doesn't seem to be encouraging new gamers to join, or that many to stick around. Sure, shoot down other peoples ideas; but do you have any ideas yourself? |

Ok, so are you suggesting that PL matches are the reason this game isn't popular? The way you worded a previous message sounded like it was something you don't like about the game rather than something you feel is the reason the game has so few users. I referred to shooting down someone's idea because your reply to a suggestion was that their idea was wrong and you liked that aspect of the game as it is. It's easy to say that someone's thoughts are wrong, but as this game is failing, and even the developers haven't an idea about why, every suggestion is surely valid. Someone suggested that the game may be too hardcore. That could well be the reason. Another suggested that perhaps the league system, and the fact the upper leagues are difficult to break into puts people off; it's quite possible that too is a reason why the game isn't popular. I agree with you that I'm more than happy with the length of the seasons and size of leagues, but what you and I like are part of a game that isn't popular, so they could well be an issue for newcomers and a reason people left. Other games have their leagues run over a shorter period, and some of those games are more popular than this. I played a game similar to this that shortened the time a season lasted; no doubt the developers of that game also believed it would make their game more popular, so it's a valid opinion. All we can be certain of is that the game as it stands appears to have a fundamental flaw or flaws that are stopping it from being popular. I've no doubt, as regulars, we all love the game, and of course we all have opinions on minor improvements, but I'm not convinced a minor improvement is holding this game back. No need for sarcastic reply you can talk normal. PLs are not suggestion,just my opinion nothing to do with your title. I can think what i want but i cant shoot other peoples ideas even if i can i am not dev to make changes. I will not shoot anymore ideas lets have reset now,make season 1 month ok ? And to enjoy the ride and go through divisions you need to have at least 1-2 seasons in this game. You better contact devs direct |

Actually I wasn't being sarcastic at all. I won't be contacting the developers; this is simply a discussion and I've invited peoples ideas for what they think that makes a game we all enjoy unpopular with others. I know people were always going to come in, without daring to put their thoughts forward and simply suggest what people say is wrong but as I've mentioned before, no suggestion is wrong. If you believed the design of the whole site puts people off of playing, or the lacking clear instructions on how to play the game puts people off; those are valid opinions, and again, for all we know maybe those things put people off. The game is failing, that much we know, and I'm simply asking what people think it is down to. But don't worry, I'm not your typical forum user who looks to attack, patronise or put down other peoples thoughts. So, starting again, Brezzette, what do you think makes this game so unpopular. So you think my first reply to your topic is without thinking. And again,if i dont like some suggestion i say it you dont need to be offended. If there are 100 suggestions and i dont like them i will say it,that doesnt mean that devs will listen to me. No suggestion is wrong...yes maybe. Make training x5,give a lot of free GB to everyone,free pack who dont like this suggestions ? But are they good for the game? I was first to reply on your topic after long time without reply(which i shouldnt) and give you my opinion no need to ask me twice. You need to ask people who are leaving this game what makes them leave SM they will know better for sure. If you think i am attacking someone and not discussing giving my opinions all ok, just dont put my name on your replies. |

Just to give background to the reset idea. I play fifa ultimate team and it resets every season - everyone keeps coming back. Also my experience starting on 3 different servers is that I enjoy building from scratch the most and find the mechanics stale as the game progresses. I doubt it would ever happen, but I'd support it if it did P.s. I know many people don't like this idea, not trying to stoke the fire, just giving reason to my suggestion P.p.s I love you brezz |
