All that should of been done is that you can't get them for free next time... by starting their price at 0 then everyone can try and buy them and they won't go for free that way. My team is messed up now for just trying to do what everyone else has been doing to keep myself a strongish team.. thanks a bunch ffs |

Sorry I haven't been able to answer this thread yet, but I've some time now. I haven't read all the messages in this thread so maybe some of the things I'll say may have been already discussed. We had this season a situation that we haven't had faced before. As you know this server has been growing a lot in users in the last few weeks, I don't have here the exact numbers but, we've got almost 50.000 new users in the last season. Each of these users get a new team, counting an average of 30 new players per team, that's 1.500.000 new players. Most of these new user never connect again after the first try, so their players never get re-signed. After ending the season there were 30.000 players that had ended his contract. Usually there are at the most 1.000 free players at the end of any other season, so we offer this players in auction, so all teams can get some benefit of these players. This season that procedure got totally out of control with that huge amount of players. People bought in auction players they need but after the auction ended a lot of good players went free so everyone could buy them. We think this situation is unfair. Some teams have totally renewed their squad with players ranging an average between 55-70, at no cost. We didn't want to cause too much harm to both, teams who bought free players and teams who didn't. We have discused many options as authomatically fire all these players, or put a fine to the teams. The final solution, we think is the least harmful to all managers. We took note of what happened this season and this won't happen again. I hope this explains why we took this decision. |

And again: Why did not a single admin sent a message to all the managers to let us know it was a "bug" and violators would be punished afterwards? I understand you didn't want to give good players away for free. Maybe a consensus could be made between admins and normal managers in terms of a *a lower reduction of avg and adapted to avg *an other form of compensation (i'm not going to use punishment) in terms of the opportunity to buy those players for a REASONABLE amount or let them go free. If you didnt want managers to pay for your mistakes you should have sent a message... |

Some teams have totally renewed their squad with players ranging an average between 55-70, at no cost. Very few will disagree with you guys about this being unfair. There is a point where it is understandable that it can be seen as a error by the formula used to create the initial bidding price for players in the auction, but it is a human error nonetheless. At any point did anybody think about the possibility of many users spending 10M+ for a player? Or any for that matter? I'm sure after this you'll have managed to find a better solution or at least modify the current offseason auction, but for the choice of auction at the moment is too much in its severity in relation to the celerity. @internat said:We didn't want to cause too much harm to both, teams who bought free players and teams who didn't. Noted, and I'd like to thank you for explaining some more background info on your situation. It really helps prevent this mob situation. My question though, as I've already mentioned, is why wasn't there any consideration that you would give out a warning saying that all "guilty" users would have X amount of days to prepare for this deduction? 20% isn't bad when you've had a couple days to prepare for it. Ideally it's 10% if you're going to want to hit anybody immediately. |

A lot of managers took advantage of this bug. Of course, this was our mistake, so we don't want managers to pay our mistake. So what are you doing now? I read multiple times in this topic from admins that this 20%rule is a PAYMENT managers have to make. Seeing that "A lot of managers took advantage of this bug." should be an extra motivation to take actions immediately. Edited by Cultif 20-06-2011 17:09 |

A bug report was sent to you, and you didn't act on it. You waited until after the auction has completely ended (rather than sending a message on the first day, at the very least), and you put this draconian measure. This is absurd. | 20/06/2011 17:08 |
